Thanks to Occtoo, the era of slow, costly data integration is finally past
Over the last decade, digital enterprise architecture has moved from monolithic, suite-based software solutions towards a composable approach (microservice-based, API-first, cloud-native & headless), where best of breed software is used to fulfil different functions. However, while front-end technology and cloud infrastructure have taken leaps, driven by the move towards composable architecture , data activation and orchestration has not moved at the same pace. In fact, partially as a result of the move towards composability, data is scattered and locked into a multitude softwares and systems.
As data integration is a costly, manual and time consuming process, data is still not being (optimally) used to create value in companies. In light of the scarcity of tech resources within organizations, data fragmentation creates bottlenecks between IT teams and digital teams. Therefore, companies spend over $ 400B on a yearly basis on software and services to connect data, devices and screens. As a result, Customer Experience innovation is too expensive and slow. The Digital Experience Composition (DXC) software category is emerging to handle this problem, enabling digital multi-experience orchestration in a “headless”, decoupled, composable world.

Occtoo removes the complexity of adopting a composable enterprise architecture by removing the need for a developer-heavy approach to accessing and utilizing data within organizations, through a business user-first approach. This enables digital teams to take the driver’s seat, instead of having to rely on resource-strapped IT and data integration teams within organizations in order to be able to fully and easily use enterprise data to create new digital customer experiences.
Gartner recognizes Occtoo has a leading player in the emerging DXC category. Founded by a team of successful serial entrepreneurs (who previously built and grew PIM company inRiver from a local Swedish vendor to a global enterprise SaaS software used by 1000+ brands), Occtoo is one of the first companies, even within this category that has started by building a DXC solution, as opposed to pivoting from a CMS or DXP. As such, we believe that Occtoo is well positioned in this emerging category with large market potential to capture a substantial share by being one of the first companies to establish first-mover advantage.
